Important Travel Tips
Check the Boat Schedule Before You Travel
Boat services to Koh Mak are limited compared with larger tourist islands. Departure times can also change according to the season and sea conditions.
We strongly recommend checking the latest boat schedule before booking your flight or arranging transportation from Trat Airport.
If you arrive at Trat Airport late in the afternoon, you may not be able to connect with a boat to Koh Mak on the same day.
Allow Enough Time Between Your Flight and Boat
When travelling from Bangkok by air, allow enough time to collect your luggage, travel from Trat Airport to the pier, check in for your boat and allow for possible delays.
It is better to have some extra time than to miss the last boat of the day.

Weather and Sea Conditions
Boat schedules may be affected by weather and sea conditions. Always check with the boat operator shortly before your journey.
Welcome to Koh Mak
The journey to Koh Mak may take a little more planning than travelling to a larger island, but once you arrive, you will discover a quiet island surrounded by beautiful sea, coconut trees and natural landscapes.
Take your time, slow down and enjoy Koh Mak — the journey is part of the experience.
